Michael Gitlin: Broken Infinity 1986–1988

Selected by our friends at CAREFULLY CURATED, presented in collaboration with Stop & Read.

A compact document of sculpture meeting architecture. Published for Michael Gitlin’s 1988 exhibition at the Bonner Kunstverein in Bonn, Broken Infinity 1986–1988 brings together 18 illustrations and text by Annelie Pohlen, tracing work that extends beyond the sculptural object into the space around it.

The title installation grew from Gitlin’s wall pieces into a work occupying the gallery itself—a compelling point of entry into his exploration of material, structure, and space.
