PREORDER — Life on Earth: Art & Ecofeminism

Four decades of ecofeminist art, gathered without sanding down its wild edges.

Life on Earth brings together essays, poems, artworks, and archival material that trace ecofeminism as both an artistic practice and a way of thinking. Its subjects range widely—social ecologies, the commons, Indigenous cosmologies, queer kinship, witchcraft, hydrofeminism, plant knowledge, and speculative futures—while keeping art and lived politics in the same frame.

Edited by Catherine Taft and Jane McFadden, this is a generous point of entry for readers interested in how feminism, environmental thought, and contemporary art have shaped one another.

Read this if… you’re drawn to feminist art history, ecological thinking, collective practice, or books that make unexpected constellations across disciplines.
